Born in Venice in 1948, at 20 he turned down a job at sea to join his brother at Archimede Seguso's furnace, where he discovered his passion for glass and its post-production techniques.
With Livio Seguso, a true purist, after only four days he was in charge of the whole grinding department. Then independence and, with Elio Raffaeli and Roberto Cammozzo, the founding of Ars Murano.
