A self-taught artist, Vania Galli has been painting for many years. Since the 1990s her research has intensified and extended to glass sculpture.

Her work also includes drawing, gouache, mixed techniques and printmaking, with etching, aquatint, drypoint, mezzotint and lithography.
She has taken part in collective exhibitions since the 1970s, in Salsomaggiore, Rimini, Carpi, Soliera and Guiglia.
